Lonestar Round Up - April 15th

Meet at Jo's Coffee (South Congress) at 11 am and cruise to Ski Shores. Later, live music from 7:30 'til midnight at The Continental Club.

Its now a huge car show with amazing rides driven here from all over the country, and attracts visitors from all over the world. Its a killer live music festival, its some seriously talented artists, pinstripers & unique shopping, its great food and cold drinks, its folks and friends and families getting together for a special Texas-sized weekend like no other.

Austin's Annual Statesman Capitol 10K Race

March 25th, 2012! The Statesman Capitol 10,000 is the largest 10K in Texas and the fifth largest in the nation. In its 35th year, the Capitol 10,000 attracts the silly to the serious and has become an annual rite of spring in Austin, Texas. Bring the whole family to this fun, festive event. Four Dancers Perform Solo Variations of "I Think Not"

I Think Not is a solo dance that was choreographed by Deborah Hay for the 2011 Solo Performance Commissioning Project. Four of the 20 dancer/choreographers who attended the project in Findhorn, Scotland, last summer, will perform their solo adaptations of I Think Not.
Three performance dates at two locations:
February 15 and 16 at 7 and 9 pm @ Mercury Hall, 615 Cardinal Lane, Austin

Saturday February 18 at 7 and 9 pm. @ South Austin Studio (1700 Ashby), Austin
Tickets: sliding scale $20-$10
Deborah Hay has conducted the Solo Performance Commissioning Project in Findhorn, Scotland, since 2004. Dancers attend from all over the world. Eleven countries were represented in 2011. Ms. Hay will introduce these performances and speak a little about this project.

The Big Sing returns! It’s Conspirare’s increasingly popular, free community outreach event where the audience is the choir. Craig Hella Johnson leads each gathering in song, and members of the Conspirare Symphonic Choir provide musical support.

New: By popular demand, Conspirare is expanding its Big Sing performances from two to three this season. The November Big Sing will be followed by two more on February 23 and May 17, each in a different area of the city. Also, for the first time ever, audience members will be able to vote in advance for selected songs they want to sing! Voting will be through Conspirare’s Facebook page at facebook.com/Conspirare
